The Repositioning Edit
Thread Lifting
Non Surgical Lifting and Contouring
As the face ages, we gradually lose volume, collagen and elastin, and our tissues begin to sag. Thread lifting gently repositions this sagging tissue, lifting and supporting the face without surgery. Dr Vix Manning has used threads for over 10 years and has been named by Tatler as one of the best thread lifting doctors in the UK, working as a global trainer in these techniques and having treated a number of celebrity clients during her career.

How it works
Threads work in two stages. First, there is an immediate mechanical lift as the thread repositions sagging tissue into a more youthful position. Then, over the following weeks and months, the thread triggers a secondary immunomodulatory reaction in the skin, stimulating your own collagen production around the thread for longer term support and improvement in skin quality.
Who it is for
Thread lifting suits anyone with mild to moderate sagging of the face, jawline or neck who wants a lifted, repositioned look without surgery. It is an excellent option for those wanting both an immediate lift and a longer term improvement in skin quality. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for those with very heavy facial tissue.
What to expect
After a consultation with Dr Vix Manning, treatment takes around 1 hour under local anaesthetic. You will be seen for a follow up at 2 weeks, then again at 3 months to assess your results as the collagen stimulating effect continues to build. Thread lifting works particularly well alongside volume and collagen stimulating treatments such as Sculptra, Ellansé or Juläine, and gives excellent results when combined with Ultherapy.
